Thomas Dennett, Connor McCrae & Angela McGinley all passed their 5th Kyu (yellow belt) grading on Monday 15th February.

July 2009

Mark McNeill passed his 5th Kyu (yellow belt) grading on Thursday 30th July.
Colin Buntin, Raymond Goldie, Sandy Marshall & Kenny Phimister passed their 3rd Kyu (green belt) grading.

The clydebank Aikido Club had a brilliant residential weekend course at the Dounan's Centre in Aberfoyle.
As well as a concentrated weekend of Aikido practice there was ample time for a little socializing.

Roddy Morrison & Paul McCabe passed their 5th Kyu (yellow belt) grading on Thursday 28th May.

Richard, Derek, Alan, Kenny & Sandy attended the Sensei Tony Sargeant (6th Dan) Course on Saturday 7th March.
A great day was had by all.

The presentation of the Quality Club award took place on the 8th January. Pamela Dewar form the Sports Development Unit carried out the presentation to the club.
Pamela gave the club great support & direction helping the club achieve the high standards set by the Quality Club program.

The club would like to thank Pamela & the WDC Sports Development Unit for all of the encouragement & support that they have given the club. It is of paramount importance that we provide the safest environment for anyone wishing to practice Aikido.

Gracias Wamukendi passed his 5th Kyu (yellow belt) grading on Monday 8th December.
Congratulations to Gracias as he displayed what dedicated training can achieve by producing a very clinical display of Aikido.

James Barrie unfortunately was unavailable to sit his grading at this time.

Clydebank Aikido Club has submitted its revised policies to West Dunbartonshire Sports Development Unit as part of its development for the Quality Club Award. WD Sports Development Unit is currently reviewing the policies to ensure compliance with their strict quality requirements.

Colin Buntin, Graham Gallagher & Stephen Ormiston all passed their 5th Kyu (yellow belt) grading on Thursday 26th June.

Gracias Wamukendi unfortunately injured his ankle prior to the grading & was unfit to take part.

Congratulations to all of the new 5th Kyu grades on what was a very robust performance given their young career in Aikido.
Good luck to Gracias on a speedy recovery.

  • Clydebank Aikido Club is now a Registered Body with the CRBS.
